Here’s a pretty rad local hip hop artist who will be at The VERA Project this Saturday! Check out Gabriel Teodros’ video for Blossom of Fire below, and before you head out this weekend, make sure to stop by Edie’s for some fly kicks. We just got a new shipment of the super popular Skymra Mid SL GTX (in black, green, and grey, $150) made with Gortex so they are WATERPROOF…which you could DEFINITELY use this week. (boo rain.)
One of my favorite places to see a flick is at Central Cinema. They’re always playing great cult movies, and you can order food and DRINKS(!) delivered right to your booth! Coming up on Valentine’s Day is Moulin Rouge!

So whether you want to spend the evening singing dramatically to your significant other while staring into their eyes, or yelling in the face of romance with your friends, this is probably the place to be.
Then you can slap on these cute red booties from Hispanitas and hit the town for some dancing! $218.

Showtimes for Moulin Rouge are 6:30 and 9:30pm, Tuesday February 14.
Leave it to Seattle to have the craziest, coolest event around. Now through APRIL 1st is the Beard & Stache Festival with events happening all over the city! Not only are there cool competitions, bar specials and tons of music, but 100% of donations are going to Treehouse, a great organization that works to improve the lives of kids living in foster care.
Need something to pack all your beard grooming supplies in? Come in and grab a Wheelmen & Co. bag (complete with ‘stache on the logo.) Babylon Backpack, $208.
Okay, I am a total wimp when it comes to winter. I don’t like to be cold and socks are my friends. So, I wanted an alternative to boots on those not so wet days and I found them in H by Hudson’s Charlie shoe. Perfect with my skinny jeans and super comfy. I got black, but I’m showing green here because I had a pair of green shoes in High School that I still remember and I thought I was the coolest. Green shoes will do that for you. Anyway, try a pair on. You’ll be wearing them everyday. $225
As beautiful as all the department store window displays are this time of year, navigating downtown shopping traffic is about as appealing as a root canal. Lucky for Seattle-ites, right up Pine is home to some pretty amazing shops (including ours, of course!) Area 51 is great for anyone who loves home decorating. Grab a bag of coffee for the caffeine addicted at Bauhaus, an outfit for the style obsessed at Scout, treats for the kittens and pups at Mud Bay, and shoes and accessories for your loved ones here! I have asked my siblings to consider getting me a new handbag since mine is tore up! I love this one by Tano *hint hint, right?*
Happy shopping!
I’m not sure why, but I’m having a problem finding gifts this year! There were a couple no brainers, of course I got them up at Edie’s:) I stocked up on Smartwool stocking stuffers (my family *loves* Smartwool), and picked up some necklaces by Gretchen & Eloise ($35 necklaces?! Yes please!)…. and that’s how far I got. Soooo…. I need some inspiration.
I was excited to hear about this open house, because it sounds like a great opportunity to find inspiration, and hopefully pick up some goodies! Not to mention, it sounds like a bunch o’ fun! Bands, local art & goods, poetry, refreshments… hooray! Worth a trip down to Georgetown, for sure.
See ya’ll there!
TOMORROW!!! Capitol Hill’s Ice Rink opens in Cal Anderson Park! No more crazy downtown crowds or driving to Bellevue. You’re definitely going to want so cozy socks for under those skates. We have amazing Smartwool, b.ella, and Happy Socks to keep your tooties warm and cozy!
Happy Skating!
Not so keen on cutting down your own tree? Check out this link for a few great local spots for us city dwellers!

The past few years, I’ve picked up a tree from Dunshee House and they are great! They’ll even help you tie it to the roof of your car! And considering December 1st is World AIDS Day, what a great time to help out a great cause.
As you head out, don’t forget to wear your warm and cozies! These Aerin Fairisle Wristwarmers from Wooden Ships are super cute and keep your fingers free! $40.
Look at that! I asked Santa for more Edina and Patsy and WISH GRANTED! I can’t wait for this Absolutely Fabulous Christmas Special. Those ladies love their shoes, just like me! (I wonder if there will be any Hudsons…I’ve seen the boxes on other British shows!!)
Don’t forget, we have Gift Certificates! If you are, or know, an Edie’s fan, it’s a GREAT gift!
One of the things I LOVE the most about holidays is having a reason to get all dolled up! You still have time to pick up a cute pair of shoes for your celebrations tomorrow!

Ladies, this is style E877 from Fidji, $185. I love the button detail and they are the perfect heel height!

For guys we have Antebellum, $205 from Maison Forte. Great two-tone detailing!
If you’re looking for (or desperately need!) a cocktail or five after giving thanks with your family, word on the street is that The Unicorn, Linda’s and The Lobby Bar on Capitol Hill will be open Thanksgiving night!
